Hi there, I am Elli Harris and I make handmade leather goods including bridle work, belts, bags, in fact I will turn my hand to anything leathery as well as doing repairs.
I am based at my family home in Bergh Apton, South Norfolk. I have a sweet little workshop there which is cosy if not usually pretty untidy!
I started working with leather on a fantastic Saddlery course at Walsall College in 2004. There I learnt hand stitching and bridle and saddle making. That’s also where I made my first bags (a Gladstone style luggage bag and a cartridge bag) and I realised how much I enjoyed the design and creativity involved in making light leather goods. I pride myself on making products that will really last. I do this by using great leather and traditional skills.
I went on from there to work as an apprentice under Mark Fisher at Woolcroft Equine Services and then went onto qualify as a saddler.
Please have a look at my work, I am happy to create any products you have in mind. Get in touch and we can discuss your ideas.
